Will I receive a demonstration on the equipment I rent?

Our team is always happy to provide equipment demonstrations and answer any questions you may have about your rental. We’re also available to assist with loading and unloading your equipment.  

Please note, however, that Durants Tool Rentals is not responsible for any damage that may occur during the loading or unloading process. We’re here to lend a hand—but handling with care is always key!

 

Can I pickup a tool at your location?

Tools can be picked up at any of our three convenient locations. Since availability can change daily, we highly recommend calling ahead to check stock and make a reservation—just to be sure the tool you need is ready when you are!

 

What are your hours of operation?

All three of our tool rental locations—Poughkeepsie, New Windsor, and Wappingers Falls—are open Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  

Swing by whenever you need the right tool for the job—we’re here to help you get it done!

 

Can Durants deliver and if so what is the charge?

Yes—we’ve got several trucks on the road Monday through Saturday to get your equipment where it needs to go. Delivery charges are based on the size of the truck required and the distance traveled.  

We’re happy to provide a written quote for your rental item along with round-trip delivery—just ask!

 

Do I need to rent equipment for a full day?

You don’t have to rent equipment for a full day—most of our tools and machines are available at 4-hour rates, and we also offer convenient overnight options for many items.  

Whether it’s a quick job or a late-night project, we’ve got rental terms that work around your schedule.

 

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover, cash, and business checks.  

For frequent renters, we also offer house accounts for added convenience. Just note that a quick credit application is required to get started—ask any team member for details!

 

How is the rental rate determined?

Rental charges are based on the total time the equipment is out of our possession, not just time in use.

For equipment with hour meters:

 

Any overtime usage beyond these limits will be prorated accordingly.

 

Do you sell used equipment?

Yes—we do sell used equipment! Just click the "Used Items for Sale" icon to browse what's currently available.
